The gite is located in the medieval village of Catus, 15kms from Cahors in the Lot department of the Midi-Pyrennes region of South-West France. Main tourist sites of the Dordogne, Aveyron, Tarn, Tarn & Garonne and Lot & Garonne are easily accessible. Many are within an hour's drive. The gite is about 20kms from the A20 motorway along the D13.

The Chez Ming gite occupies the whole of the groundfloor of a large 3-storey stone house with blue-grey shutters located at the edge of the village along the Quai du Vert. Across the bridge from Chez Ming there is a lovely shaded pathway which takes you on a short walk of about 15 minutes alongside the stream (Le Vert) to the Lac Vert, a leisure lake about 1km away. The lake is also accessible by road along the D13.
